Home for Boys

Sri Sathya Sai Krupa Home for the boys was established in 1992. It was inaugurated by the then Lady Governor Smt. Suman Krishan Kant, in the presence of the state president of Sir Sathya Sai Seva organizations, Andhra Pradesh. Selfless dedicated service for providing shelter and education poor and orphaned children is the objective of setting up this home.

The home is run by a nonprofit charitable organization under the name Sri Sathya Sai Educational & Lepers Welfare Society, which was registered under the AP societies act in the year 1992, with the divine blessings of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba.

These Students are taken into the home from first standard irrespective of caste, creed, religion or region and are supported till they complete graduation. The children have either a single parent or orphaned. The present home is located in a building bearing number 141 at Bharat Nagar which is owned by the society and is housing 34 children. Some of the inmates of the home have completed courses in Animation, Catering, and Computer Applications etc. A few of them have also secured good jobs.

With the increasing number of children every year, the society is constructing a new building with a budget outlay of about 7,50,000/-. The building will be ready for occupation in a couple of months.

The expenses towards education and boarding of each child works out to about 30,000/- per year, and the orphanage runs purely on philanthropic donations of kind hearted people. All donations to the society are exempted under section 80G of the Income-Tax Act.

The Children are admitted in some of the best schools in the city imparting quality education, such as Vignan Schools, Goutam Model Schools, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Etc., Members of the Governing council of the society focus their attention on the development of children’s integrated personality. As a part of upbringing, the children are nurtured with human values and ethical living, self confidence, self sacrifice, love of the motherland, service to fellow human beings are some of the aspects which are brought under special focus with these children, clearly following the dictum that education is for leading a wholesome and responsible life and not for a mere living..
